A typical listless morning.
Yells and laughter caught my attention.
The running tracks and school courts bustled with activity
Ah! Such joy and vigor.
When was the last time my friends were jogging by my side?
A fleeting moment. Just like youth was.

There are many reasons for which we live
but beneath e facade, pretension, perfection
we only need one to live.
In reality, by illusions with which we live
For material adornments, in pursuit of love, alluring monies...
searching, an oasis for our wretched selves to take refuge.
Lies! Deceit! e harbor of such oasis.
Whether the means are meaningful, despicable or worthy
who are we to judge with our own flawed yardstick
for these cyclical & fleeting moments of happiness
provide the very momentum for which we live
but beneath e facade, pretension, perfection

Every morning as I walk on the usual paths to work,
I have to be mindful of the numerous millipedes along the pathway.
Memories begin to seep into my fuzzy mind
revealing its vividness.
Filled with reminiscences of my secondary school days
episodes of dodging earthworms on rainy days
on the very same grounds the old school once stood.
The merciless time robbed and buried
and solidified like the new concrete,
fluid memories. longing to be savored.

The incoming train and the piercing sound of its horn,
shook off my remaining traces of sleep.
Everyday, the bustle and jostle where
intrusion of one's private sphere is of least concern.
A tedious cycle of acts and efforts
to triumph even trifles.
More than just the maneuver of rides
Hey, welcome to the working world.
