10 trivial of Japan

1)e students even preschoolers, have e nicest uniforms i've seen, complete with hat, vest, jacket, backpack and hand carrier

2)there are express trains, limited-express trains, semi-express trains, normal trains and a dozen variations

2.5)most if not all train stations has coin lockers, gift shops & bento shops

3)it wins for the number and variety of vending machines

4)if u speak mandarin, u will be mistaken as a chinese from china & an american if english is spoken

4.5)english speakers are favored & if u are bilingual, they are astounded...in contrast, mandarin speakers are usually detested

5)they have unique fashion (to say e least)

6)cigarettes are uber cheap

7)the most consumed beverages are tea & beer(even during e day)

8)people lugging luggages around is a daily sight, especially businessmen

9)their perseverance for queuing is second to none

10)they rank 1st in e number of habitual clinical mask wearers

Tokyo ->Sin

this marks the end of my trip...
Day 42 &43
-Tokyo

spent e remaining days looking for food...relish in whatever i liked...






Day 41
-Nagoya

one has to try e eel rice at nagoya....we ordered a large bowl and shared...there's 3 ways of eating this, unique to nagoya-e original (rice &eel), topped with garnishings or with added soup...

-Yokohama port

okay...i noe to happily flee away and secretly slacking my days far away is pure indulgence...but what....why why swine flu? of all times...damn...and wat's with india & e turmoil...this world needs some peace...Damn...damn...damn....
Day 37

went to yoshino...e highest temple was a 4km steep walk up e mountain...we gave up half way..hah...

we missed e cherry blossoms...or e sea of pink on this green would be quite a sight...


dinner was organic & vegetarian curry...e 'meat' is actually made of gluten...

Day 36
-Nara

look at e crowd...children these days are damn fortunate...even pre-schoolers have these outings!...


nara park is full of deers...had fun feeding them...if u aren't careful, they'll follow or surround you for food... most are pretty harmless though...






lunch...

had time to actually laze on the grass patches and gaze at e blue sky... for the first time...
unbelievable but urban city life on a small island is such dread...
.
more desserts!!....i love luv e chocolate cakes...


dinner...sushi wrapped in leaves is nara's specialty...love it too...we are pretty much pampering ourselves from kyoto to nara cos e food's so good....any resistance is futile...ahHh e desserts aplenty! if $ is not an issue...i'll gladly be intoxicated by sugar...


Day 35

Didn't do anything in particular...just a couple of shrines and we browsed the local markets...it's mainly a place for food....good food...all we wanna do is just eat & eat in kyoto...


ahHhh...green tea!!!.....am lovin'....this desserts are so for me... u wouldn't know e ecstasy these stuffs bring us...

Day 34
-Kiyomizu temple....kyoto attractions always have e tourists crowds...



a very heavy lunch...3 bowls of soba...


Kinkakuji temple...its a lil' dissapointing this temple...its not as magnificent as we thought it'll be...and we paid admission just to view this fairly small structure albeit painted in gold but rather lacklustre paint job....

Kyoto

Day 33
-Kyoto has e nicest station so far...

went to tofu cafe for lunch and dessert...

loved e food...tofu hamburger steak, tofu cheese cake, ice-cream...


e caramel is ah!!....we were like OooOo's and aHaaHhh's...kyoto is e place for dessert...more of these and i'm in heaven!....

Tenryuji zen temple, another Unesco world heritage site..



Dinner...desserts are so irresistible...


and i'm falling in love with green tea...

Day 32
-Osaka world expo commemorative park...

okonomiyaki....indeed osaka has better ones....

shin-sekai...nothing there...only pachinko parlours and fried fritters restaurants...its like a back alley with flashing neon signs...
