To-fu & Sg toy con!!!

Sg held its first ever toy con which i never thought would happen....we have dozens of computers and electronic fairs but toys!?....err...are you kidding...but sure it did arrive to our friendly shores...and i don't have to be envious for once of the toy cons that never make a stop-over here....the reception was exceptionally good given the throng of visitors...and there wasn't even much publicity efforts....i almost missed it myself if i didn't catch the advert a day before...

toy lovers must have been joyous...lugging around bags of their precious finds...but i wonder if the crowd were attracted by the freebies or for the love of toys....the freebies redemption counter seemed to be the main attraction...hah...i wanted to try my luck at getting a blank tofu given only as a fair redemption but i could never fight with those who earnestly queued for the redemptions...but i did manage to bag my share of goodies(wanna guess?)....

the reason why i even went.....for the devilrobots tofu oyako figures of course!....they even had signing sessions!...pete fowler who did the monsterism range was there too!....i liked his works...but as a poor fan-girl of tofus...i cannot afford to sell my kidneys for more than one designer range sadly....

i wanted to take my time to look around...to see the exhibited toys and probably source some bargain finds...but having to squeeze my way through the crowd...Tat...was not possible....it took me much effort to find just the devilrobots booths alone...the coordination of the staffs and layout of the booths were just bad...i couldn't even get an answer to where i could buy the merchandise so i asked around when i spotted visitors with those goods...took me hours!...

i planned to buy only two 2.5inch tofus from the new vinyl series and get them signed...i was going to be contented with just that...(i didn't mean to spend beyond my intentions...cos my budget for toys is now strictly restricted to a few must-haves as i have more important stuffs to fund for)...as a souvenir from the first ever toy con i attended...

but....with all the toys glittering in the glass displays...resistance is futile....and with them priced at a hefty sum lower than retail...everyone became weak kneed...i too was an unfortunate victim....in addition to the two mini tofus....never would i have imagined...at least not so soon...that now am a happy owner of a 16inch tofu...and the 16inch joyous strawberry gum to-fu is now a welcomed member to my family of a wierd assortment.

Omg...a 16 inch tofu vinyl!! residing in my room!!!?....another bout of excitement rises....

Tofu Oyako.......BANZAI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
