To put it briefly, it's metropolitan life...however the numerous parks, the display of bold fashion statements (at one's liberty & without the need to consider the sensitivities of others) and the novelty of endless creations & of intriguing food packagings and designs,etc..as complementaries, perhaps allow the embracement of e complexities and dull life of city-dwellers. Probably oblivious & imbued in the locals, the pretty and perfect presentations of food (the fancy sweets & snacks packagings are a joy for those with sweet tooth)...the perfections...could it be perfections to conceal e imperfections, perfections to mitigate e imperfections or perfections as ideals of e imperfections? Hah...
Probably the most notable is the complex subways & food (convenience stores and local food joints as substitutes for our hawkers)...
Another thing is the prevalent social decorum & how social status is worn on one's sleeve...
The juxtaposition of the traditional/conservative & modern/liberal is what i find most intriguing...
